In January 2006, neighborhood staple, Alphabet Lounge began its humble transformation.  New owners Tanvir Chaudhury (Babu), Jon Cantor and Colin Barnhart decided to simply evolve Alphabet Lounge’s current concept and vibe to establish this venue as a nightlife and neighborhood icon .

Staying true to its East Village roots, Alphabet Lounge features artwork of local artists, murals of local painters, live performances from local bands and spirits from local bartenders.  Their goal is to create a space that grows with its neighborhood and fosters a sense of community while still hosting some kick-ass parties and wild nights . 

Alphabet Lounge’s décor is simple, and organic yet chic.  The handcrafted decoupage DJ booth displaying 45’s from yesteryear speaks to its true commitment to music, particularly local bands and rising stars. 

Nighttime revelers can find comfort on Alphabet Lounge’s cozy banquet seating, a trendy juxtaposition against its raw and vibrant space and artwork.  

Alphabet Lounge is a lounge without pretension, red rope or any of the frustrations that accompany New York City Nightlife.  Groups can enjoy table space and seating without hassle or stress while grooving to old school classics and 80s favorites .
